Director, Lucia Linares (left) speaking with Ophira Calof (right)
For our documentary unit project, I teamed up with director Lucia Linares to produce this short documentary on theatre performer and disability activist Ophira Calof.
On the day of our scheduled studio shoot an essential component of Ophira’s mobility device malfunctioned, which made safe travel impossible.
We took inspiration from how other outlets including news media had adapted during the pandemic to successfully shoot the interview remotely instead.

Notes
1 This project explores navigating accessibility in arts spaces
2 The title comes from Ophira’s initiative Crip the Script, which raises awareness of how inclusivity in the arts can be baked-in from the development stage rather than being treated as an afterthought
3 Full documentary available online soon
