Interfacing with technology is a recurring theme in my works. In considering our embedded relationship with tech, I wanted to explore the consequences of such deep personal integration in this horror-inspired short about a jealous AI that interferes with a couple’s relationship.
This project was an unforgettable learning experience as I was able to safely write, direct, and produce a short film in the uncertain, early stages of the pandemic. It pushed me to adapt my production experience to an entirely new context.
Completing school online meant running a virtual production office out of my bedroom! This included casting calls + auditions, location scouting, drafting floor plans, budgets, schedules, post-production coordination, as well as on-set safety including COVID screenings.
